Developed by the UK Government, the Cyber Essentials scheme has been designed to help protect UK businesses by preventing the most prevalent forms of cyber-attacks and making the UK a safer place to do business online. The Cyber Essentials Plus scheme provides a higher level of assurance, tested by an independent assessor.
Core Controls
Cyber Essentials accreditation focuses on five core controls:
- Boundary firewalls and Internet gateways
- User access controls and administrative privilege management
- Malware protection
- Patch management
Commenting on the accreditation, Mark Hobson, Chief Compliance Officer said, “Eploy recognise the importance of demonstrating to customers and prospects that we understand the need for a robust, secure IT infrastructure and systems through recognised certification from a National Cyber Security Centre approved auditor. In achieving this higher level of assurance with Cyber Essentials Plus, it shows customers our commitment to the security and protection of our systems.”
Information Security
This latest certification for Eploy follows the recent renewal with Hellios Stage 2 Financial Services Supplier Qualification, designed to improve the standard of suppliers through a common set of policy and risk areas including IT Security, Operational Risks, GDPR and Responsible Business Governance.
