4Com was established in 1999 to improve the communications of the UK’s SME market. They are a fast-paced company that thrives on being the best, successfully selling phone systems and services to UK businesses. The company moved into it’s new Headquarters in central Bournemouth three years ago, having also had offices is Southampton and Salisbury previously.
The talent acquisition and recruitment team wanted to scale their recruitment capability to support company growth yet had limitations with a largely manual process consisting of databases, email and some use of Microsoft Dynamics.
4Com wanted to respond to the demands on recruitment with a dedicated Applicant Tracking System and Recruitment CRM. So they chose Eploy to automate their recruitment practices and accelerate attracting ambitious people to join the ever-expanding 4Com family.
The key objectives were to:
- Improve the recruitment process and candidate journey
- Improve recruitment reporting to understand recruitment effectiveness
- Use Eploy’s RESTful API to feed data collected during the recruitment process into PowerBI
- Ensure that candidate data is managed correctly and compliant with GDPR
Using Eploy, the centralised talent acquisition team has primary responsibility for all recruitment tasks, supporting hiring managers at all stages in the recruitment process. The new way of working will involve hiring managers raising job requests through the hiring manager portal and reviewing shortlisted candidates.
Eploy provides the recruitment platform to ensure that all recruitment activity can be managed in one place and give the talent acquisition team full visibility of recruitment activity. Dashboards and analytics within Eploy provide automatic reports on recruitment performance to make decisions and determine how and where to recruit the best candidates for the business.
The dedicated careers site and candidate portal use the 4Com brand for a consistent candidate journey, and the talent acquisition team can advertise vacancies for the relevant brand, 4Com or HiHi.
Amanda Deves, Senior Recruiter at 4Com, commented on the implementation, “We now have a standardised recruitment process in place to support the candidate journey and can build additional recruitment workflows as the business requires. Our vacancy approval process is now automated to reduce delays in advertising roles. We can use the Google for Jobs feed and the Eploy Multiposter for advertising to other job boards. Working with Eploy to automate our recruitment processes allows us to reallocate time previously spent on manual activities to value-add activities.”
