EKC Group is one of the largest further education providers in the South East of England, with more than 1,400 staff and 13,000 students. They are relentless in their drive to deliver an inspirational education experience for young people and adults across their family of six Colleges and three Business Units.

At the heart of everything they do is community, which is critical as one of the largest employers in East Kent. As an education provider, they're committed to ensuring the very best for students who choose to study with them, as well as providing opportunities for those who need them most.

With a range of career opportunities on offer, covering teaching roles, business support and temporary and supply roles for those seeking flexible working arrangements, EKC Group wanted to put the candidate at the heart of their recruitment strategy.

This modern-day approach to recruitment required the replacement of a paper-based requisition form and manual approval process with Eploy's complete recruitment platform. Eploy is now supporting EKC throughout the entire recruitment journey from Job Requisition to Onboarding and providing a more collaborative approach for hiring managers and the HR Team.

EKC Group had several requirements that would determine a successful implementation and Eploy has risen to the challenge. Success criteria included supporting multiple recruitment workflows; ensuring GDPR compliance with document and data retention rules built-in; and the ability to integrate with Indeed and other job boards.

Eploy's Candidate Portal is now delivering a premium candidate experience integrated seamlessly into the EKC branded careers site. The careers site has been designed to 'wow' candidates and provides candidate-centric content about what it is like to work for East Kent College.

Candidates can register for jobs and alerts with 3rd party identity providers, upload a CV, which is automatically parsed, and Eploys advanced automation ensures candidates moving through stages in the application process receive regular communication through email and SMS.

Andrew Stevens, Chief Operating Officer at EKC Group, said: "Ensuring that our recruitment practices kept pace with modern life was key for EKC Group as one of the largest employers in our area. This new system will enable us to give candidates the best possible experience through their recruitment, whilst simultaneously ensuring they are able to absorb our unique culture and values set. The bespoke recruitment site is also an amazing shop window to highlight who we are as a Group and what we stand for so that we get the right candidates every time. Implementation was seamless, and despite setting ourselves and Eploy a challenging deadline, we achieved it through great teamwork."

Chris Bogh, CTO at Eploy added "We're delighted to support EKC Group. They now have a single view of all current recruitment stages and activity, first-class talent pool capability and a careers site that showcases their employer branding."
