Do you wake up every morning with a smile on your face? Have you been walking with a spring in your step? Does your every action at work result in uninhibited awesomeness?

Some industry analysts think it does, and expect the euphoria to continue well into 2016.

According to a number of sources, recruiters have never had it so good. First off, Glassdoor have released a list of the best 25 jobs in the UK for 2016. The jobs that make this exclusive list have the highest overall Glassdoor Job Score. The score is a combination of three key factors:

  1. Number of job openings
  2. Salary
  3. Career opportunities rating
Based on this criteria, Glassdoor have ranked Recruiting Manager and Recruitment Consultant 13th and 14th respectively. In fact, Glassdoor rank these recruitment jobs above sales based jobs like Sales Manager and Business Development Executive. This underlines the strength of the recruitment at the moment.

Confirming the sense of a strong recruitment market is The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). In a recent webinar, the REC believed that they expect the recruitment market to grow 8.1% in the 2016/2017 period. This would add approximately £3 billon onto the value of the industry in just one year.

The REC went on to say that this is expected to be cross sector growth, with the only sector falling behind being oil and gas. The REC also believe that margins, in general, are up for permanent placements. In this market 26% of placements earned a margin of 20% or more in 2015. Confidence amongst recruiters is also high. Many recruiters are forecasting profits to match or exceed 2015.

The outlook for recruitment in 2016 is rosy. Life has given recruiters lemons, and they are making lemonade by the bucket.
