Peter Brett Associates (PBA) (http://peterbrett.com), an independent practice of engineers, planners, scientists, and economists delivering major development and infrastructure projects across the globe, has successfully launched a new careers site and e-Recruitment platform from Eploy.

With over 700 staff spread throughout 18 offices in the UK and Europe, it had become increasingly challenging for PBA’s in-house recruitment team to manage their growing resourcing requirements using spreadsheets and email alone. Compounding the problem, PBA needs to recruit experienced hires for very specialist roles as well as manage the volume of applications generated by its graduate and apprenticeship programmes. Having researched the e-Recruitment market, PBA felt Eploy’s cloud based Applicant Tracking System & Recruitment CRM provided the best fit for their requirements.

The new system, fully integrated into the PBA company website provides online recruitment not only for directly sourced candidates but also features a simple to use Agency Portal. PBA currently works with a Preferred Supplier List (PSL) of 12 agency partners who fill a significant portion of PBA’s vacancies. Importantly, PBA worked closely with its agency partners during implementation, and testing of the new Eploy system has been extremely positive – with comments on the ease of use of the Agency Portal compared to those of PBA’s competitors.

Peter Brett Associates is also one of the first Eploy customers to use Eploy’s latest technology – Eploy Discover. With Eploy Discover, recruitment teams can create their own online screening, assessment and feedback forms – each with unique scoring & grading mechanisms. Initially, these are being used within PBA’s volume schemes such as the graduate programme. PBA was able to use Eploy Discover to create a ‘mini-interview’ scenario within the online application process that enables them to grade and rank the suitability of candidates for the programme. This helps the recruitment team manage the volume of applications appropriately and focus-in on the most suitable candidates for progressing through the process by using a scoring mechanism they have designed themselves.

Commenting on the launch of Peter Brett Associate’s new website and Eploy system Emma Chorlton, Recruitment Business Partner at PBA said, ”At Peter Brett Associates we have dual recruitment challenges of attracting experienced, usually passive, candidates for highly specialised roles – whilst also managing the high volume of applications for our graduate and apprenticeship programmes. Eploy’s combined Applicant Tracking System and Recruitment CRM is ideal for helping us recruit successfully for both. But it’s not just about the software, the Eploy implementation team really understand recruitment. We worked closely with our Eploy Implementation Manager who really listened to us and helped us to re-evaluate our processes to ensure we would get the maximum benefit from Eploy.”

Eploy’s Chief Technology Officer, Chris Bogh, commented “We’re delighted with the launch of PBA’s new Eploy system and careers site and it’s fantastic to see our new Eploy Discover technology being used straight away to deliver real benefits in the application process. It’s also great to see Eploy being used to manage very different types of recruitment – from helping fill highly skilled, candidate-scarce roles; managing volume recruitment; and also providing greater visibility of agency partners – all within a single customer. PBA took a really sensible approach for transitioning from an email & spreadsheet based process to using the very latest online recruitment technology and we look forward to working with Emma and the team at PBA on future projects.”
