The support and care Kisimul provide, across their school, colleges, and care homes, to people with a diverse range of care needs, is exceptional and takes a special kind of caring and passionate person to fulfil the role.

Recruitment in the Care Sector is competitive and can be reactive as the requirement for carers becomes more urgent through the pandemic if carers have to self-isolate or shield. There is a big emphasis in the sector on the empathetic nature of candidates and how they will build relationships with people in their roles. Recruiting against intangible qualities for education and care roles against the Kisimul core values is at the heart of their strategy.

Kisimul was experiencing challenges with their previous recruitment provider that was used in the main for job posting, alongside an individual mailbox that received CVs. The Recruitment Team had no one source of visibility across the recruitment process or management and reporting of KPI’s such as time to hire.

Having had a poor experience with the previous recruitment provider, there was apprehension among the team about how a new solution would be implemented and embedded to deliver a complete ATS and Talent CRM. However, the team knew that the existing functionality in place and support was far from leading edge.

Working with Eploy, Kisimul had the opportunity to evaluate how they recruit and get to know candidates beyond the CV with a joined-up approach that eliminates duplication of activity and an engaging candidate experience from the get-go. It was key for the Kisimul team to work with a provider who understood the Care Sector and the Eploy Implementation Team was a perfect fit to support Kisimul to deliver an improved application process and overall candidate experience as well as a portal for Hiring Managers to become fully involved, rather than involved from the interview stage.

Candidate onboarding is now automated using the Eploy onboarding module which is improving the candidate experience and offer to onboarding time. Having come from a manual process, the automated process provides tailored communications to keep candidates engaged during onboarding, ensuring they are prepared for their first day, to prevent drop off.
