The Works has strengthened its online communications after it enlisted Eploy to create and manage the development of its new SEO optimised, fully integrated recruitment website.
Eploy has been powering the company's recruitment search and selection web portal for the last six years, and for 2011 as part of its on-going development has incorporated new interactive features into the website that complement The Works' corporate design. These included seamlessly combining open source Wordpress software into the website, so that employees at The Works can upload and edit even more content themselves. The vacancy, news and featured jobs / clients sections are still powered by their Eploy® database, which is fully integrated to manage these areas.

"We had to keep the site fresh and relevant, and to do that we wanted to administer it ourselves and have a team of people adding and editing content. Eploy® has provided a solution that enables non-web master experts to input content and information," explained Craig Burton, Managing Director of The Works.

Facebook and Twitter also feed into the Eploy® powered pages via live RSS feeds, which have helped the website to become the main recruitment portal for candidates, clients and staff.

The result is the pinnacle of innovation and flexibility and a website that encompasses all aspects of a fully functional communications portal.
"We are a difficult client and we are exacting in what we want. Eploy understands that and has a way of accommodating our requests," said Craig.

"It's not just a shop window. It's a communication tool for clients' candidates and staff. Plus, by including most of our administration procedures and conducting most of the legwork online, it leaves our consultants free to work closer with candidates and clients."

The new, forward-thinking website is a strong and crucial weapon in The Works' armoury for enhancing the business and developing relationships with clients. And Eploy's expertise has already led to a doubling of traffic since it launched, with more than 350 new registrations a week and more than 500 job applications.

Chris Bogh, Technical Director at Eploy, said combining open source software with its own, custom-built recruitment software has enabled The Works to have a fully functional and flexible website.

"The Works knew exactly what they wanted to achieve with their new site and we could see how their vision could be made a reality," he said. "There has been a complete evolution in the approach, so that staff can now communicate with their clients in a much more efficient way," he says.

"They also have complete management control over content so they can keep the site up-to-the-minute, fresh and relevant for their clients."

Having chosen to develop a 100% web-based system since 1998, Eploy is now streets ahead of other systems and is completely browser / operating system independent, something that not many "web based" recruitment systems can truly say. Eploy's unique one size 'fits all' solution continues to transform the way recruiters work and enables agencies to provide added value services to their clients and candidates.
